My name is Lizbeth Lopez and I am the artist Little Landscapes by LL!
I primarily focus on acrylic painting but I often end up 3D elements to my projects for an added texture. Have an idea? Ask me about commissions so I can bring your creativity to life.

Born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in Houston, Texas means I am a big city girl through and through. I am the eldest (and only) daughter in a traditional Mexican household. Unfortunately when I was eleven, I had to step up as a second mother and help raise my three younger brothers. I picked up a lot of responsibility which made me self-sufficient in both good and bad ways.
As I became older, I realized I was Queer and was always at a place of acceptance amongst my friends and family. When I left for college, I moved to a small town to study at Kalamazoo College. While I dabbled in Stage Design, Costume and Stage Makeup, and Creative Writing, I ultimately majored in what I came to study: Studio Art. Along the process of completing my required art history classes for the degree, I fell in love with Art History and have been absolutely obsessed in finding ways of studying it in everyday occurrences.
Since graduating, I have been working at Colors & Cocktails as an Art Instructor and Associate in our Boutique where we have over 20 local artists and small women owned businesses represented.
I'm a bit of a Jack of all Trades, but I mostly focus on acrylic canvas painting. Often, I end up adding 3d sculptural elements to provide more texture on the surface.
It may sound odd, but when I learn a new craft, I think of it as an extended form of painting, something that I will bring back to my comfort zone. I have combined my paint

It may sound odd, but when I learn a new craft, I think of it as an extended form of painting, something that I will bring back to my comfort zone. I have combined my paintings with wire threading, embroidery, and whatever sparks inspiration.
My passion in the visual arts extends to dancing as well, something I picked up in high school. While I loved performing, a combination of unhealed childhood injuries caught up to me and I have developed chronic joint pain. My love for dance will never go away and I will always reach out for those days of contemporary dancing.
Writing has been something I have only recently started sharing, but I have been creatively writing for over a decade and have awards over my content. My stories have always been my own and for the eyes of a select few, but I have started to share more openly now.
Creating is all I ever want to do. I will find a way.
I am often recreating plants and wildlife in my work and introducing them in abstract spaces. I particularly enjoy doing creatures with extraordinary abilities in ways you'd never think of as important. On days when I am bed ridden and can't really move, I watch documentaries of all kinds. Music, dance, theater, writing; I love it all.

Currently I am focusing on space art and depicting earthly flora and fauna in celestial backgrounds.
Additionally, I have started creating miniature paintings in tiny resin frames. While I do many kinds of works, nature and landscapes end up being my primary focus.
